BRANDING // PACKAGING // PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY


BRIEF

Create branding for a new product line and the accompanying package. The concept for the project should be generated by thorough research of a sub-demographic and evaluation of trends relevant to that audience. The scope of the project includes logo design, brand identity and guidelines, and several applications of the brand including promotional materials and packaging.

CONCEPT

Ananda is a line of incense for people who regularly practice yoga or meditation. The line includes three scents, one for each time of day when one might practice their flow: morning, noon, and night. The final packaging includes accompanying yoga mat sprays and matches.

Ananda is the Hindu word for bliss.

It also refers to a type of yoga practice that focuses on deep meditation. I chose the word "ananda" for my brand because it perfectly describes how the user will feel when using the incense: blissful.

What is a Point of Purchase Display?

A point-of-purchase or POP display is marketing material or advertising placed next to the merchandise it is promoting. These items are generally located in the checkout area or other location where the purchase decision is made.

 

BRIEF

Purposefully use 3-dimensional design elements to create a point of purchase display that draws attention to the product and communicates the persona of the brand in a retail environment.

CONCEPT

To complete the Ananda project, a point of purchase display was needed to echo the voice of the original packaging. I used elements of nature such as rocks, shells, and driftwood to evoke a peaceful seaside feeling.
